Yes, it is important to feed your body fuel to get through any workout. Stephanie recommends a combination of complex carbs and protein before a workout to set your body up for success.
How do I avoid getting too “bulky” when strength training?
Women are naturally inclined to lean muscle. The goal at Warehouse Fitness is to train with the understanding that more muscle on the body = more calories burn even at rest.
How often should I weigh?
Stepping on the scale once per month should be perfectly sufficient. Muscle weighs more than fat, so as you train and gain muscle, it is possible you won’t see the number on the scale move as quickly as you would like. It is much more preferable to rely on progress pictures, measurements, and the way your clothes fit. You might also find it helpful to do an InBody scan on a monthly basis to see your progress there as well.
